Santa Barbara has its own airport, and it’s easiest to fly directly here.

You can also fly into Los Angeles International Airport, which is located under 2 hours by car from Santa Barbara.
From there, there are several ground transportation options, including shuttles, rental cars, and cabs.

Another method of traveling from LA to Santa Barbara is on the Pacific Surfliner, a train that runs from Union Station in downtown Los Angeles right into downtown Santa Barbara in about 2.5 hours. It’s really comfortable and scenic - a great way to see the coast!
